Freeze-thaw cycles and heavy winds are the main culprits. Moisture in the soil freezes and expands, shifting posts over time. Strong Wyoming winds can also loosen posts that aren't set deep enough. We solve this by digging below the frost line and using concrete footings, which anchor posts securely.

Look for leaning posts, gaps between boards, rusted hardware, or rotted wood near the ground. Also check if gates drag or don't latch properly. If more than a third of your fence is unstable, replacement is often more cost-effective than repeated repairs.

We start with concrete footings for every post, using a mix that cures strong and resists frost heave. For wood fences, we use pressure-treated lumber and seal all cuts. For metal or vinyl, we anchor with galvanized brackets. Our masonry background also allows us to build stone or concrete block fence columns that stand up to anything.
