The main cause is soil shrinkage. Our dry Gilbert climate causes the clay and sandy soil to contract, which loosens the concrete footings that hold your fence posts. Over time, the post shifts, throwing the gate out of alignment and causing it to sag or drag on the ground.

Look for signs like a gate that sticks or scrapes the ground, visible gaps between the post and the soil, a fence panel that feels wobbly, or a post that has tilted away from vertical. If you notice any of these, the post's foundation is likely compromised.

We don't just reset the old post. Our solution involves removing the unstable post, digging a deeper, wider hole, and using a concrete mix suited for our dry soil. We often add gravel at the base for drainage and set the post below the frost line to prevent future shifting. This ensures your gate stays aligned and functional for years.
