The sandy, loose soil in Seminole doesn't hold moisture well, leading to shifting and settling around fence posts. Over time, wind and rain can wash away the dirt, exposing the base of the post. Common signs include the gate not closing flush, a latch that sticks or doesn't engage, rust or visible cracks on the latch mechanism, and the gate swinging open on its own.
