A gate can shift out of alignment for several reasons: wet soil from our winter rains can soften the ground under posts, or the hardware (hinges and latches) can loosen over time. We typically solve this by adjusting or replacing the hinges, re-setting the post if it's leaning, and ensuring the gate swings level and latches correctly. If the gate is heavy, we may also recommend a wheel or a more robust hinge system to prevent future issues.

Common signs include the gate opening or closing only partway, making grinding noises, or not responding to the remote. Often the issue is with the limit switches or a worn motor gearbox.
