If the ground wasn't properly backfilled and compacted when a fence was installed—or if the site wasn't graded to manage runoff—posts can lose stability, leading to leaning, sagging panels, and gates that won't latch correctly.

Common signs include fence posts that are visibly tilting, especially after heavy rain or dry spells; gaps opening between the bottom of the fence and the ground; water pooling along the fence line; and gates that stick, drag, or require frequent adjustment. We address the root cause by first removing the fence. Then we perform land grading and earthmoving to create a proper slope away from the structure. We also excavate and backfill with select fill, compacting it in lifts to create a dense, stable base.
