Blowouts happen when high winds—common during our spring and summer storms—push against large, solid panels. Over time, the posts can loosen in the sandy soil, or the pickets can pull free from the rails. If your fence is older or the wood has dried out from the heat, it’s even more vulnerable. Sol Con Construction addresses this by setting posts deeper with concrete and using galvanized brackets to secure panels, reducing the chance of future blowouts.

Look for boards that have twisted, cupped, or developed a noticeable curve. In Splendora’s summer heat, the sun can dry out the wood unevenly, causing it to warp. You might also see gaps between pickets or a wavy appearance along the top rail. If you catch it early, Sol Con can often replace just the affected boards and apply a UV-resistant sealant to protect the rest of the fence.

For blowouts, we remove the damaged section, check the posts for rot or looseness, and reset them if needed. Then we install new panels with extra bracing.
