In Edinburg's humid subtropical climate, moisture from rain and irrigation, combined with clay-heavy soil, can rot wooden posts and corrode metal ones. To prevent erosion, we recommend using pressure-treated wood or galvanized steel posts set in concrete with proper drainage. We also apply a protective coating to extend lifespan.

Look for visible cupping, bowing, or gaps between boards, especially on south- and west-facing sections. Warping often occurs after prolonged exposure to intense sun. If you notice nails popping out or boards that no longer align, it's a sign the wood is drying and shrinking. We can assess and suggest solutions like replacing affected boards or adding shade structures.

We provide a comprehensive fix: first, we inspect for rot and structural damage, then replace warped or weakened boards with kiln-dried, heat-treated wood or composite materials that resist warping. We also install proper ventilation gaps and apply UV-resistant stains to protect against future sun damage.
