The main cause is our local soil, which is heavy clay and expands and contracts significantly with moisture changes. This soil movement can loosen the ground around your fence posts over time, causing them to shift, lean, or become unstable. Poor initial compaction during installation often makes this problem worse.

Look for visible leaning of the fence line, gates that sag or drag on the ground, cracks in the fence posts near the base, or gaps between the post and the soil. If you notice any of these, it's a sign the soil around your posts has shifted and is compromising your fence's stability.

We start by assessing the root cause. For gate sagging, we can adjust hinges or replace hardware. For unstable posts, we often dig out the old, loose soil and backfill with compacted, stable material. If the post is damaged, we'll replace it and ensure proper compaction and weatherproofing during installation.
